Video Blog!!!

I.The Prairie Style video is focused around Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie style homes. The architecture of these homes are based off of floating horizontal planes and very environmentally friendly relationship with its natural surroundings. The key concepts of the video were Wright's emphasis on organic homes and environmental harmony. Because of his view on architecture he greatly influenced those after him to design with the same concept.
As for the second video, Classical Architecture, focuses more on the architectural style that was developed in the ancient world, primarily influenced by the Greeks and Romans.

II. The Prairie Style Video relates to the readings because of the type of architecture it is, dealing with the organic and natural like qualities of architecture. The Classical Architecture relates to the readings alot more because in our readings there is an entire section on the influence of Greek and Roman architecture on the new world.

III. I enjoyed the Prairie Style video because it was a different type of architecture that I never really thought about. The concept of the Classical Architecture video was more interesting that the video itself. The music and old fashion like voice of the narrarator made the video a bit monotonous and created difficulty in following the video overall. Still interesting though.

IV. I chose both films based off of which title seemed most interesting to me.
